Together with Mood Gummies

These cannabis gummies keep selling out in 2024

If you've ever struggled to enjoy cannabis due to the harshness of smoking or vaping, you're not alone. That’s why these new cannabis gummies caught our eye.

Mood is an online dispensary that has invented a “joint within a gummy” that’s extremely potent yet federally-legal. Their gummies are formulated to tap into the human body’s endocannabinoid system.

Although this system was discovered in the 1990’s, farmers and scientists at Mood were among the first to figure out how to tap into it with cannabis gummies. Just 1 of their rapid onset THC gummies can get you feeling right within 5 minutes!

Working With Clients

Don’t Make This Mistake When Sharing Your Portfolio With Prospects

No matter where you like to find freelance clients…

There’s one thing all clients hate when reviewing portfolios:

Having to open a Word doc, Excel spreadsheet, or PDF.

Why?

Because they may take one look at your sample and decide they don’t like it.

Or that you’re not the right person for the job.

And if you (along with 9 other freelancers) have sent them a handful of files to download, then they’re stuck with a bunch of useless documents on their computer they’ll never look at again.

Luckily, the solution is simple:

Send them a shareable link to access your portfolio instead.

There’s no shortage of options here.

- Google Drive
- Dropbox
- Notion
- Etc

Or you can always maintain a public portfolio website.

Regardless of which one you choose, do everyone a favor and stay away from files that have to be downloaded.

Working For Yourself

The First Step Toward Building an Audience on Social Media

People follow leaders, not experts.

That’s why creating content on social media is so important for freelancers…

Because content creation is leadership.

And even if you’re not an A-List service provider with a track record full of big wins…

Sharing your perspective on social can help establish credibility and authority…

Which can lead to lucrative deals you may not have landed otherwise.

You never know who’s watching.

But here’s an important piece of advice related to our “start from scratch” plan above:

Pick one social media platform and go all in on it.

Don’t try to be on Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, and Instagram all at once.

Each platform has their nuances…

And unless you’ve got 2-4 hours you can dedicate to creating content every day…

The sacrifice isn’t worth it.

So take the time to learn the ins and outs of your platform of choice.

As an added bonus, once you’ve built a following and created some top-performing pieces of content…

You can easily repurpose them on other platforms.

Moral of the story:

Focus on getting traction one platform at a time.

Then move on to conquer the next one.

Tool of the Week

Upgrade Your Screencast Videos With Tella

We’re big fans of asynchronous communication here at Gig HQ.

And screencast videos are a key part of that.

Now, up until recently, our weapon of choice for this has been a tool called Snagit.

But now we’re in love with a new tool called Tella.

It’s like SnagIt or Loom on steroids:

  • You can choose from a wide variety of layouts and backgrounds to make your video look more polished & professional

  • The video & audio recording quality is unbeatable (so everything looks and sounds as crisp as possible)

  • Plus you can easily stitch together multiple clips into a single video (so no more worrying about nailing the entire thing in one take)

All in all, Tella gets a rave review from us.

Yet you don’t have to take our word for it.
