Hey! Welcome 🙂 We’re The Gig — a media company providing news, tools, tips, and tricks for freelancers looking to grow their business.

Dorothy Illson (our CEO) and Jim Hamilton (our COO) cofounded The Gig in 2022, after working together for two years at Needle’s Eye Media, an ad agency also founded by Dorothy.

We both freelanced extensively when we started our careers in marketing, and quickly fell in love with the freedom, flexibility, and uncapped income it provided.

Now our mission is to curate the most important freelance content from around the internet and give it to you in a fun, entertaining, and easy-to-digest format that you can consume in 4 minutes or less.
