Working With Clients
How to Simplify Your Elevator Pitch So You Can Land More Clients
The simpler your service is to understand, the easier it is for clients to say yes.
That’s why it’s important to work on your elevator pitch.
And more importantly, to make it as simple to understand as humanly possible.
If you haven’t crafted one yet, here’s a template you can use as a starting point:
I help [TARGET] achieve [DESIRED OUTCOME] with [SERVICE/METHOD].
Now let’s use an email marketer to whip up a few examples:
I help ecommerce brands increase their revenue by 30%+ with email marketing.
I help online coaches book 2X more qualified sales calls with Seinfeld Emails.
I help affiliate marketers boost subscriber LTV by 47% with a Soap Opera Sequence.
I help high-ticket business owners get more clients with email.
See how each one is different?
The idea is to adjust it based on your own skills + experience.
Along with whatever outcome is mostly likely to resonate with your ideal client.
But aim to keep it as simple as possible.
This means using as few words as possible.
The last variation is plain as can be, but it’s also the shortest and easiest to grasp.
So it might outperform all the others.
Regardless, once you’ve got this dialed in, it can also serve as your profile headline on LinkedIn…
So anytime you’re posting or leaving a comment on the platform, potential clients can easily see what you do.
LinkedIn’s also a great place to workshop your messaging.
Start testing different variations and see which one resonates most with your ideal client.

Working For Yourself
The Power of Productive Procrastination
Maintaining focus can be a b*tch sometimes.
But marathon deep work sessions and binaural beats aren’t the only way to get stuff done.
Introducing “productive procrastination:”
Instead of forcing yourself to work on the same thing for a set amount of time, try shifting gears as soon as your focus starts to dwindle.
The hypothesis behind it is simple…
Once you start to lose momentum, your ability to produce meaningful work is limited.
So you’re better off switching tasks and coming back to the original one later.
This approach leverages your brain's natural energy cycles rather than fighting against them.
Think of it as working with your attention span, not against it.
The key is ensuring you're still tackling important tasks…
Not just scrolling TikTok or Instagram or reorganizing your desk for the fifth time.
Keep a running list of 3-5 priority projects that you can bounce between.
You might be surprised how much more you accomplish when you stop trying to force concentration and instead strategically redirect it.
