Learn the secrets to building a profitable personal brand from Lewis Howes
Every freelancer should be building a personal brand in 2023. Why? Because demonstration is the most powerful form of proof. And by establishing a presence on social media, you can attract inbound leads just by demonstrating your expertise to prospective clients.
And with over 2.4 million followers on Instagram alone, there’s no one better to learn personal branding from than Lewis Howes. That’s why you’re invited to attend Fast Foundation’s free Personal Branding Masterclass on March 31, where Lewis will be sharing his secrets in an action-packed keynote speech.
Plus you’ll also get to learn from personal branding experts Chris & Lori Harder, Jim Carter, and R.T. Custer on how to position yourself as an expert and profit from it in 2023.
Making the Rounds
Instagram is testing full-length Reels inside Stories. With Reels consumption up 20% year-over-year, the company may be getting rid of the current 15-second cut off when Reels are reposted to Stories.
YouTube is beefing up audio advertising options. The platform has quietly become the 2nd-most popular podcast streaming service, so it’s no surprise they’re offering advertisers more ways to reach music and podcast listeners.
Gen Z abandons Google for TikTok and Instagram. “Googling” may not be a verb forever. While most millennials and Gen X’ers turn to search engines for answers to their questions, Gen Z is increasingly turning to short-form video platforms like TikTok and Instagram instead.
Working With Clients
The Power of a Great Lead Magnet
A lead magnet is typically a free asset or resource used as bait to attract subscribers onto your email list.
(hence the name)
But that’s not all they’re good for.
They can also be used to pre-frame freelance prospects or overcome objections during the pitching phase.
So even if you’re strictly focused on your service business and have no interest in building an email list…
Carve out some time to create a lead magnet that demonstrates your expertise.
When selecting a topic, think about common myths, mistakes, or false beliefs that prevent people from achieving the outcome you provide.
Build it around that.
The more focused it is, the better.
Here are a few ideas for what to create:
Toolkit
Checklist
Swipe file
Video breakdown
Client case study
Fill-in-the-blanks templates
Again — keep it short, sweet, and tactical.
It can be as simple as a Google or Notion doc.
Then once it’s done, add it to your social media profiles and deploy it as needed when pitching clients.
